Awesome Christmas Trees!

I went home for the holidays and was going around town and the city hall has a program where they provide artificial trees with lights around the city hall building and people and organizations can sponsor a tree and decorate it.  It was fun to walk around the building and look at all the trees. There was this one tree that as soon as I seen it I was laughing. It was so cute you just couldn't help but smile. A perfect December Daily story!

December Daily Page Swap

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a beautiful day like I am. Since I've been gone a lot lately I haven't spent much time with my fur babies so I've been pampering them today. Gave them baths, took them to Petco to have their nails trimmed and bought them some treats. Now they are snuggled up on the couch. But enough about my fur babies and on to something scrappy. I joined a "Secret Santa" page swap over on the December Daily Inspiration Group on Facebook. We gave the moderator what colors we were using for our upcoming December Daily and the page size and we were matched up Secret Santa style. So no one knows who is doing pages for each other. It is a surprise when you get it. So I got mine at the beginning of this week for the United Kingdom! It is so cute and she sent me little goodies to go along with it. I got mine out to my pal today so I sure hope she likes it. Since I've been working so hard because of Hurricane Matthew I wasn't able to get mine in the mail as quickly as I had hoped but I made the deadline so I also sent lots of goodies to my secret pal.

Here is what I received from Caroline in the UK and it so stinkin' cute:

And this is what I sent out to Samantha who is also in the UK:

Hope you have enjoyed seeing the swap and if you do a December Daily or have ever thought about doing one then check out the Facebook group. It's a lot of fun and there is lots of inspiration. Have fun my scrappy friends!

Long time no post and thankful cards

Sorry that it has been quite a while since I have posted. Life sometimes keeps us busy doing things and we don't get to always do the things we would like to do. Now I am trying to get back into the swing of things. With the holidays quickly approaching I have been getting ready and part of getting ready is doing my #30daysofthankful and my #decemberdaily. Since we are in the midst of November and I am practicing my gratitude each day I would like to share some gratitude/thankful cards with you that I found on "Simple As That"  blog by Rebecca Cooper. There is also a lot of other goodies including a photo tips, recipes, and a 2017 calendar to help you get started for next year.

I have also shared a video of some great finds at the Target Dollar Spot. I hope I can find the time to share with you my pages or at least a walk through of my albums. Keeping my fingers crossed. :-)

Take care my scrappy friends and have fun with the freebies from "Simple As That."

2016 Scraptastic May Kit Reveal - Are You Gonna Go My Way and Cake By The Ocean Kits

What beautiful kits I got from Scraptastic this month. If you are loving to get monthly kits you should check out Scraptastic.  They have different kit clubs to choose from like scrapbook kits, card kits, this life noted (pocket page style) kits, and the newest addition is planner kits. If you get the scrapbook kits you get a chose every month between two different kits and you can also purchase add-on kits where you get additional papers and embellishments that match the main kit.  Of course you could be like me and can't make up your mind so you get both kits and the add-on kits!

Let me know if you have any questions about Scraptastic and I will gladly try to answer any that you have.  Here is the reveal videos...enjoy!

Friends and Italian Margaritas

I finally got a layout done using the Gale Song kit from Scraptastic and a few items from my stash. The pictures are of me and one of my best friends after a day of shopping in Orlando at Ikea and The Container Store we decided to have dinner and our favorite Italian Margaritas. I kept talking about them and so one time she decided to try it and she was hooked! LOL All her husband keeps saying is "but you don't like Amaretto." It's totally different when you mix it with the other yummy goodness in the margarita.

But we always have so much fun even if we are just hanging out and talking. I'm so lucky to have such wonderful friends!

Items from the kit are background paper and banner paper strips (Pink Paislee), flowers (Crate Paper, Maggie Holmes Bloom collection), Thickers (Fitzgerald), 1+1=2 sticker (Scraptastic exclusive by Kaitlin Sheaffer), "fun" puffy stickers (Pink Paislee), wood veneer (Scraptastic exclusive), acrylic ampersand (Scraptastic exclusive), and labels (printables from Scraptastic). Items from my stash are yellow letter stickers (Jillibean Soup), brown letter stickers (October Afternoon Mini Market), arrows ( The Paper Studio), foam word stickers (Momenta-Friendship), enamel dots (The Paper Studio and Teresa Collins), and gold Color Shine (Heidi Swapp).

Here are a few close-ups:

Happy Scrapping!

New Years Eve - First Layout of 2016

I seen the inspiration picture from the Crafty Mavens Getaway Facebook Group on December 27, 2015 and I knew I had to do a layout. Although I have a couple of mini albums to finish I wanted to do this layout first of my New Years Eve. Since I was by myself I scrapbooked and watched movies. These are the inspiration photo and my layout:

I used the Scraptastic December kit for part of the layout and items from my stash. The base paper was a Scraptastic exclusive food/family/story line Twinkle Twinkleand the others were Studio Calico Seven Paper: Felix and another Scraptastic exclusive by Kaitlin Sheaffer: Advent. The diecuts and tag were from the kit and the were Elle's Studio Joyful Bits and Pieces and Fancy Pants Wish Season Tags Pack which were in the Scraptastic kit. The wreath and flourishes I cut from cardstock in my stash with my brand new Silhouette Cameo...Yeah! My first project using my Cameo! I also used a doily, vellum, sequins, gem in the flower and tissue paper all from my stash. The silver paper is from Craft Smith and the gold polka dot acetate is from We R Memory Keepers. The gold letters were Studio Calico and the silver letters were from The Paper Studio Stick-A-Bilities. I inked some of the items with Elle Studio Papaya ink that I got with my Scraptastic Color Add-on and I stamped the date in the same ink with the Heidi Swapp date stamp. Here are some close-ups so you can the items better.

Happy Scrapping!!!! :-)

Christmas Gifts to Myself!

Wow...I have been so busy that I haven't been on here to post anything! I still have to finish my 30 Days of Thankful album and my December Daily. Once I finish them I will post them for inspiration. I did buy myself some things for Christmas that I've been wanting for a long time...YEAH!!! I got a Cannon Selphy and a Silhouette Cameo. So excited! I haven't really got to use them much yet but I did print out a couple of pictures and just a couple of cuts on the Cameo. I will be using them quite a bit to finish up my mini albums I mentioned. I have got to mention a great Facebook group called Silhouette for Beginners where there are a lot of great people to help others who are just starting out with the Silhouette Cameo and other machines. Helps with the learning curve and who doesn't want that! Any newbies out there should check them out. And those who are trying to make up there minds if they want a Silhouette Cameo or one of the other cutting systems out there well all I can say is that I am so glad I went with the Cameo but I'm sure they all have their pros and cons. Just look at what you want to use it for and compare the machines. I would also suggest finding people in your local area who have the different machines and see if they will give you a demo. Also the local craft stores have demos on the machines from time to time.  Happy crafting!!!
