Best Day

Whew...I've been so busy working I haven't had much time to get crafty. I'm an essential worker and for the longest time I was working 12 to 14 hour days for 7 days a week during this COVID-19 pandemic. But I have finally got a layout done. This is of my and my BFF from work. We had worked for over a year, putting in lots of hours on top of our regular work load, to get ready to go through an accreditation process. This picture was taken the night right after we had finished with our onsite visit and review. We wouldn't know for over a month whether we would get accredited or not but the whole process was grueling and we were celebrating getting through the entire thing all by ourselves. Just two people and women. Well, we did it and got accredited!!! Now we are about to go through our renewal.

I used different Maggie Holmes collections and a couple of cards from a Project Life Maggie Holmes collection. I fussy cut some of the butterflies and sewed them on top of a strip of the butterflies of the same paper giving them some dimension. And I used a chipboard butterfly from the same collection to the right of the layout. I even managed to use one of the clips from one of the collections. I also used some sequins and wood veneer stars from my stash as well as some gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine. I still have to journal on the tag.

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!

Happy Day

I can't believe it but I won another prize from CSI Scrapbook Challenge group on Facebook. I submitted one layout for February of some beautiful flowers I got from my lovely daughter on Valentine's Day. She sent this beautiful note. It read "I wish you more sparkles and sunshine beams than you can imagine. I wish you all of the joy I feel when you hold me tight. I wish you all the dreams that you wish for me. I wish you as much love as you give me. I wish you knew how lucky I am to have you as my mom. Happy Valentine's Day to the first valentine I ever had. I love you. Your baby girl." Now that is one to remember forever.

So I had to do a layout right away!! And it just so happens the CSI challenge fit the pictures perfect. I not only got beautiful flowers and a lovely note from my daughter but I won a prize for the layout I did about it. Talk about a double win! I won a surprise bag from Scrap Accent. I will post what I get from them. And this is my birthday month so I feel like I'm getting a birthday present.

Anyway, here is the layout. I used a lot of older stash again which makes me happy as well as some newer products especially Shimmerz. Hope you enjoy it.

Calvinball Day 6

Last night Calvinball had an online crop and I managed to get three layouts done. I haven't done a layout since the first day it started. I completed a layout that I had previously started last year and never finished. I also started scrapbooking some pictures from a trip to the Poconos back in 2017.

For all of the layouts I completed, the bonus and temporary bonus points, attending the online crop, team building points (FB Comments), and publicity points I have 73 points.

Calvinball 2020 - Day 1

Wow...I can't believe #Calvinball2020 has started. If you don't know what Calvinball is you should check it out. It is a month-long challenge where you make projects and have a lot of fun! You can go to the Facebook Group Calvinball 2020 and join in. There is no cost and you get some layouts or other projects done.

Today is the first day and I only managed to get one layout done. For every layout you do you get a point and then there are bonus points and temporary bonus points. Today I was able to get all of the bonus points and temporary bonus points on my one layout which were use white lettering/gel pen/title, use a frame, use a star, use gold foil, use a doily, and you got a bonus point for your first layout in the Calvinball 2020 gallery. And I got them all! Not bad for one layout.

So my layout is pretty simple and I used up some really older stash which makes me happy. Sorry for the poor quality of my picture but it is very late and my lighting isn't the best at night.  Well, hopefully, I will get another one done tomorrow after work.

I can't believe how many layouts I've got done so far this year! I am loving the challenges over at Scraptastic Inspiration by JuXcreates Facebook Group because it is really pushing me to get things done and yes loving using up some old stash. The challenges vary with different types of products, colors, what you had to scrap about and even sometimes sketches. Here are some more of the layouts I've got done.

Hope you enjoyed seeing what I've got accomplished. Happy Scrapping!!!

CSI Case #294 Challenge

I just finished a layout for another CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration challenge. I did case #294 and the colors I had to use were black, white, primary red, primary yellow, and vivid sky blue. The clues that I chose to use were paper with a graphic pattern, geometric shapes, layered stickers, frames, Thickers, and metal. The journaling I chose to do my journaling in a list.

Happy Scrappin!

Some More Layouts

I got three more layouts done for challenges over at the Facebook Group Scraptastic Inspiration by JuXcreates. I am so glad to be getting layouts done on a more consistent basis and using up my stash! If you're anything like me, you are very busy and it gets very hard to do things you like to do because you are always so busy doing the things you have to do. I like this group because she is always posting challenges and sketches. Here is what I accomplished this weekend.

If you like to be challenged, get inspiration, or just have fun then you should check out this group.

Happy Scrapping!
